Will It Stop?

By Mariam Albarak

I feel it coming,

It’s been humming.

Towards the sea,

Right next to me.

I’ll tell everyone around,

Or they’ll hear from the sound.

I’ll get my coat,

I’ll get my boat.

Even though I will slide around,

People will enjoy from the crowd.

I’ll walk up to your beginnings,

But I noticed you’re thinning.

Is there any way I could help,

You’ve been having quite a melt.

Us anthropoids know what to do,

But you just came out of the blue.

I hope you get better soon,

I’ll give you a ballon.

This poem is about climate change.
