Is the New C8 Over-hyped?

On July 19, 2019 the newest corvette was released called the c8 making 495 horsepower and 470 horsepower with the optional Z51 performance package. This car is the sister car of the ZR1 which is the most powerful corvette at 755 horsepower and 715 torques. The new c8 is the first mid-engine corvette which got a lot of attention from the media and fans of the corvette. It has a 2.9 second 0-60 time and does 11 seconds on the quarter mile. This car is seen as “not a real corvette” because of the new design to fit the engine in the back. So that brings us to the question “is the new corvette overhyped?” I say no because a lot of people say that is looks ugly and its power stats aren’t extortionary compared to other mid-engine cars like Ferrari or Lamborghini.
