GLOBAL WARMING: Letter to the Editor

I am writing to let you know what an incredible impact Global Warming is making on our planet. Global Warming is a huge topic in the world at this moment. A lot of people think that Global Warming is real, but several others think it is totally false. There are many facts to back up that Global Warming is indeed very true. There is uncertainty of people that question what causes Global Warming. Some don’t think it is caused by us as humans, but it truly is. I hope that by reading my letter, you will be able to judge for yourself.
Global Warming is known as, “A long-term rise in temperature in the Earth’s climates.” Many things create Global Warming and make it harmful to our environment. The Greenhouse Effect is something that scientists are researching to see how it impacts Global Warming. The Greenhouse Effect is a process that warms the Earth’s surface. The process uses some of the Sun’s energy and reflects it back into space. The rest of the energy is absorbed by greenhouse gasses. “Scientists are beginning to find out that Global Warming is trapping the heat that is being radiated from Earth towards Space.” (A blanket around Earth) It is said that humans are causing this process because they are trapping the sunlight when some of it is supposed to be returned back to Space. There are many things causing this to happen such as how humans control waste from factories, fossil fuels releasing CO2 pollution into our atmosphere, deforestation, and other human activities. All of these contribute to Global Warming in some way.
The climate on Earth has changed drastically throughout history. If we don’t do something about Global Warming now, it will only get worse in the future. NASA states, “Just in the last 650,000 years, there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat.” (Climate change: How do we know?) “Current levels of chemicals and pollution are higher now than at any point over the past 800,000 years.” (What is global warming, explained) Many people think Global Warming is false because they refuse to look at the evidence and facts. Several people don’t believe climate change exists, and some people don’t trust scientists and their work.
Some people would like to help stop Global Warming and fix our planet, but they don’t know exactly how to do this. Thankfully, there are multiple things we can do to start helping our planet prepare for the future. We need to listen to our scientists and people who are devoted to their work. We can start using more efficient ways of transportation like walking or riding our bicycles to events. We can cut back on plane, train, and other automobiles exhaust that causes pollution. We can look into powering homes with more renewable energy. This can and will result in less pollution for our environment. Speak up and tell family and friends about the danger of the future of our planet and how we can prevent it.
Whether you think Global Warming is true or false, I encourage you to do research on the topic and learn about it. There is a lot proof and facts from Scientists. We all need to impede Global Warming and take swift action to slow down the process. Let’s all do our part to make this happen. If we don’t take the time to help our future right now, we may never get the chance. Thank you very much for your attention to this important matter.
